Back to Berlin

Back to Berlin.

Should have booked a place to stay, but I hoped that somehow things will work out and -woot- I'm back to comebackpakers is Kreuzberg.

Wise man said: Δεν γίνεται να μπει κανείς στο ίδιο νερό του ποταμού που κυλάει δύο φορές.You could not step twice into the same river; for other waters are ever flowing on to you. That was Heraclitus wise dude he was. This place is different without Tolik and Raul , and Jovani and other guys. I will go to meet Raul later, but for now beer and a snack work fine for me.

Moral. BOOK BOOK BOOK

Cities and the smell

Every new city I get in. Small towns are small towns, but large cities always live me a smell to remember.
They used to say that Israel smells like oranges: well I remember Tel Aviv as a smell of my sweat and wet air with nothing good in it.

Bangkok and the Dirt
Bangkok to me has this awful smell of a dogpoop and dirt. You can find this smell in southern Tel-Aviv or any other city were really none has done for the environment.

U-bahn in Berlin
Berlin has this electric smell of a metro. I still can't figure out what exactly leaves this smell, because you can not smell it when you are inside and only when you get out or in you can sense this smell that somehow reminds me of something my childhood maybe because the Kiev metro.

Autumn in Prague
Prague I loved the best. Prague has this smell of Russia. Is is the smell of the autumn and the wet yellow-orange trees on my way to the school. I really loved that smell, but the city is dead.

Now , running 180 Kpm on the autobahn i'm waiting to smell Dresden's air.

Leaving Berlin

Done with Berlin for now.

This city has so much in it, those endless green parks and alleys, those clean streets and precise public transport.
The plan is to get to the Drezden tonight and then maybe Prague. But for now only a car booking was made.

As a running a hostel here told me, there is a weekend price for car rental with limited kilometrage. 4 day costed us 189 euro which is kinda cheap. God bless American Express and Sixt.

If you ever happen to visti comebackpakers hostel in Berlin,  you can know that you are safe here, but if you want a real coffee and not the shit the hostel gives you , you need to go outside and step in the brazilian coffee shop. Excellent coffee!

Took a walk in Berlin

So I landed, found a room and had a beer. What now? - let's take a walk.

First observation: the weather is just fine. The promissed 17 degrees Celsius fit me fine.
Second observation: Kreuzberg is much bigger then I thought it is. I feel like i'm in Istanbul.

The undercover mission works, they called me Polish and British.

Stay there for more

Security

Wow that was quick. If you want to get to the plane quicker, know what do you need to do.
It took me about 40 minutes to get done with all the questions and the border passing. I had all the paper ready and with almost no things on my hands.

The biometric identification makes it even faster ;-)

Good luck all the flyers of the month and thanks to Assaf  Keren for the Amex Business recommendation, which provided me with free beer

Let's go

This of course is a test post.

I am going to Berlin. Let's see what happens next
